From its inception, Landing has endeavoured to explore and document the national and global cultural metamorphosis taking place, to illuminate a vital new culture for which 'difference' refers more to the gap between those who embrace change and those who are repelled by it. By sharing our diverse stories we have sought to find common ground and in that spirit the series has continued to grow, transform and build bridges between the many diverse communities that make up the fabric of our society.
Originally conceived by KarmaFilm and Saskatchewan Intercultural Association the project has grown beyond its original scope through key partnerships with Hulo Films, Canadian Heritage, Ministry of Education, SaskFilm and Job Start/Future Skills.
The series has been called a "palette of an evolving culture which is rapidly naturalizing us into the global, vibrant, and above all, inclusive, society we have long challenged ourselves to become."
The stories continue to resonate garnering attention, locally and nationally.
